There’s no such thing as a normal year in the satellite sector, not least for a company as diverse and disruptive as neXat. We’ve agreed key partnerships from Asia to South America, announced two new solutions, and made significant strategic progress in the govsatcom sector. We’ve positioned ourselves as the satellite services provider to make your connectivity journey as optimized, stress-free and cost effective as possible with our one-stop OSS/BSS offering. And there’s still so much more to come.
Thanks to all of our customers, partners and collaborators for being with us in 2023. Here’s a wrap up of the year – and what to expect in 2024 as we respond to a changing and challenging sector…
Automated shipping, South Korean satellites and SD-WAN
This time last year we told you we’d be setting our sights offshore in 2023 with big expectations of what we could achieve. We announced the launch of our dedicated Maritime Business Unit in March and as well as on-board installations, we’re bringing the value of our platform to maritime. Partnering with SEAFAR, and co-funded by ESA, the SeaNext project will deliver uninterrupted data connectivity at sea for remote shipping.
Our commitment to improving network management for our customers in maritime extended to the creation of our SD-WAN solution, neXLink. The solution is not exclusive to maritime, however – mobile, corporate and government customers can also benefit from integration of configuration, monitoring and control into a single user platform.
The value-added benefits of the neXat platform were recognized by key partnerships announced this year. In May, South Korean operator KT SAT was equipped with a full suite of managed services to increase its service portfolio. Thousands of miles away in Latin America, Argentina’s Servicio Satelital partnered with neXat to deliver satellite specific managed services to its customers with our OSS/BSS tools. Guyanese specialists in delivering internet access to rural locations, VNET, also chose the neXat platform to manage its network.
Govsatcom, globetrotting & gearing up for 2024
What can you expect from neXat in 2024? We’re committed to making satellite communications more efficient and cost effective. The sector is responding to a changing and more competitive landscape with LEO launches from the headline-grabbing players in the sector and neXat is here to help.
For teleport operators, our value-added OSS/BSS extends hub capabilities to better serve customers. Our managed services will keep empowering connectivity providers to automize their operations and our Virtual Teleport means they can manage their own VNOs.
Our Pooling & Sharing Service (BeSecured PSS),a joint development with RHEA and ST Engineering iDirect, entered the development phase in Q3. The product, ready for operations by the end of 2024, makes it easier for security users to access pooled satellite communications capacity. Building on our close links with the continent’s spaceand defense sectors, our path to contributing to large European defense projects is being laid.
You can also expect to see us across the world throughout the year at the biggest and most important events from Washington D.C to Barcelona. We’ll kickstart the year in Luxembourg for GOVSATCOM, before heading to Spain for MWC and then USA for SATELLITE 2024. Keep up to date with our event activity on LinkedIn and our website’s event page – we’ll also be at Cybersat in April in Paris and Dubai’s CABSAT in May. And that’s just the first five months of the year!
Happy holidays from the neXat team
Our dedicated team has grown over the past year as we expand our business, footprint and services. The Operations team was enhanced as we work towards establishing a fully 24/7 trained helpdesk for operations and this growth will no doubt embolden our overall services including IT support.
We look forward to connecting with you, seeing youat industry events and shaping the satellite connectivity sector together in2024.
